International Students: In addition to the above items, you also need a certified translation of your high school or college transcript, evaluation of the transcript, an Ability-to-Pay statement and, if English is not your native language, evidence of English proficiency.

PROGRAM STANDARDS
The following standards are described to assist the Privai Academy and each candidate in evaluating his/her prospect for academic and professional success. Please read each standard carefully. By signing your name on this application, you are indicating that you have read and are committed to and capable of meeting these standards.
Academic Skills
The student must be able to remember, understand, apply, evaluate and synthesize facts and concepts as related to safe and effective application of skin care. The student must also be able to read and understand course materials, and after appropriate instruction to read and evaluate relevant research articles and appropriately apply that knowledge and practice. The student must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Students must possess basic computer skills.
Professionalism
The student must be client-centered in all aspects of the work, and consistently demonstrate ethical behavior, integrity, personal responsibility, and good judgment. He/she must be able to develop mature, effective, respectful relationships with clients of diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and varying health statuses. He/she must dress appropriately and maintain high standards of personal hygiene. The student must be able to complete all responsibilities in a timely manner.
Interpersonal Skills
When interacting with fellow students, clients, staff, faculty, and other health professionals, the students must consistently demonstrate self-awareness, emotional stability, appropriate interpersonal and communication skills, appropriate boundaries, respect and compassion for others.
Adaptability
The student must be able to function effectively and cooperatively, even under stressful or challenging conditions, such as can occur in the academic environment, in clinical settings, and the practice of esthetics. The student should display flexibility: be open to differing points of view, be able to follow instructions, and be capable of giving and responding appropriately to constructive feedback.
