Lead Esthetics Instructor
Debra Anderson began her career as a Registered Nurse where she gained a wealth of knowledge in nurturing and healing. After twenty years in the field, she retired and began her second career in the skin care industry. After receiving her Esthetics License she developed a passion for teaching. She received her Esthetics Instructor License in 2006, and through her guidance and experience, students develop their passion for skin care and proceed to successfully pass state board exams and secure employment in top spas. Her extensive advanced esthetics education and medical background and daily time in the esthetics room with clients provides the foundation she brings to the classroom and clinic.
Darinda Davis
Director of Education - Esthetics Instructor
Darinda Davis understands the heart of any spa operation. She specializes in creating training classes that offer comprehensive learning objectives and outcomes. As a licensed massage therapist and esthetician she has developed numerous protocols and procedures for treatments and for spa operations. She has developed training classes in accordance to both local and national governing bodies and has been granted CE status with both. With a keen understanding of inventory control, Darinda Davis provides easy to follow guidelines for spas to protect their inventory assets. Darinda is meticulous and passionate in her teaching.
Laura Engel
Esthetics Instructor
Laura Engel is steadily deepening her roots and growing as both a skin care therapist and a young instructor. She received over 900 hours of undergraduate training between the Aveda Institute of Philadelphia and Blue Ridge Community College in North Carolina. She gained her educators license through the inaugural student instructor program at Privai Academy. As a Legacy scholarship recipient, Laura is passionately working toward post-graduate certification from the International Dermal Institute and continues to gain motivation for her teaching career as a student of some of the industry’s most respected educators. Laura believes in the balanced incorporation of both holistic and clinical techniques in the treatment room, as well as the classroom, and upholds a commitment to staying abreast of the latest trends and advancements within the world of skin care and education.
Ben Clark
Student Coordinator
Ben Clark has a degree in business with an extensive back ground in Human Resources, education and the spa industry. As a graduate of Privai Academy, Ben is a licensed massage therapist and esthetician that is focused on hospitality, professionalism and fun! Ben is dedicated to assisting the students at Privai with obtaining a high level of quality education and continued success after graduation.
